Job summary

HIAS Pennsylvania is seeking a Pro Bono Supervisor to lead development and monitoring of pro bono work within the Legal Advocacy and Outreach Division. You will manage all aspects of pro bono work, mentor volunteers, and coordinate with private firms to expand immigration legal representation.

The ideal candidate has years of immigration law experience, strong training and communication skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid Philadelphia environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction; min 3 years direct immigration legal services; manager level possible for >5 years.
• Experience in asylum, VAWA, U/T Visa, SIJ, AOS and naturalization preferred.
• Experience delivering training is preferred.
• Foreign language proficiency in Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian or Chinese is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and maintain ongoing pro bono volunteer panel.
• Train and update pro bono volunteers; ensure accreditation for PA CLE credits.
• Manage case referrals and monitor pro bono work progress.
• Maintain HIAS PA’s case management records and volunteer database.
• Coordinate with law firms, AILA and external partners to align volunteer interests.
• Support HIAS PA outreach, clinics, and community engagement events.
