Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Arlington, VA is seeking an Immigration Policy Specialist to join the Immigration team within EOE. This hands-on, IC role analyzes immigration rules, drafts executive communications, and coordinates across internal and external stakeholders to drive policy impact.

Responsibilities include end-to-end deliverables, crisis response when actions arise, and data-driven scenario planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in US employment-based immigration programs.
• Experience writing for leadership and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience analyzing data and creating reports for leadership.
• Knowledge of H-1B, PERM, OPT, and green card processes and regulatory impacts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze proposed and final regulations for impact on workforce and costs.
• Develop strategic response options including cost modeling and feasibility.
• Draft executive papers, briefings, and decisional documents for leadership.
• Monitor regulatory timelines, Federal Register actions, and Congress activity.
• Lead policy coordination meetings and ensure follow-through.
• Design and operate policy-related mechanisms, workflows, and dashboards.
• Triage crisis requests and run daily/weekly reporting during incidents.
• Draft communications explaining policy changes and required actions.
• Pull and present workforce data to support policy decisions.
