Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join our Immigration and Global Mobility Services practice group. You will handle a wide range of business immigration petitions, including H, L, TN, O, E, PERM, I-140, AOS, K-1, I-130, N-400 and DACA, among others.

The role requires the ability to analyze case documents, prepare applications for attorney review, and manage a busy docket with timely communication to clients and attorneys.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent training, education, and experience.
  • Experience in preparing business immigration applications (H, L, TN, O, E, PERM, I-140, AOS, K-1, I-130, N-400, DACA, etc.).
  • Experience with other immigration matters is a plus.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while handling a high volume of cases.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in procedural and processing requirements for business visa petitions and applications.
  • Handle other visa petitions and applications (K-1, I-130, N-400, DACA, etc.).
  • Independently analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for attorney review and submission.
  • Take ownership of case docket and ensure timely communication with clients and attorneys.
  • Stay up to date with immigration developments and share information with the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
