Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join our Immigration and Global Mobility Services practice group. The role involves preparing and filing business visa petitions (H, L, TN, O, E, PERM, I-140, AOS, N-400, DACA, etc.), analyzing case documents, and coordinating with attorneys and clients.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong multitasking and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training, education, and experience.
• Experience preparing business immigration applications (H, L, TN, O, E, PERM, I-140, AOS, etc.).
• Experience with other immigration matters is a plus.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume setting.
• Strong communication with diverse professionals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in procedural and processing requirements for visa petitions and applications (H, L, TN, O, E, PERM, I-140, AOS, etc.).
• Handle additional petitions and applications such as K-1, I-130, N-400, DACA, etc.
• Independently analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for attorney review.
• Own your case docket and communicate timely with clients and attorneys.
• Stay updated on immigration developments and share with the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
