Job summary

Law Office of Isabel M. Martinez in Miramar, FL, is seeking an Immigration Paralegal to assist attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and management in a full-time, on-site role serving the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English and Spanish. Fluency in Spanish and English required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Inadmissibility waivers preparation experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal.
  • Strong foundation in Law and Immigration Law, with practical understanding of immigration procedures and case types.
  • Knowledge of Immigration Issues and Visas, including family-based, humanitarian, and employment-related categories.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation for immigration petitions, applications, waivers, and supporting evidence packets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
  • High level of organization, time management, and accuracy when handling multiple deadlines and case files.
  • Proficiency with legal case management software, document management tools, and standard office applications as Docketwise.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or paralegal certificate, preferred.

Company Description Law Office of Isabel M. Martinez is a fast-paced boutique immigration law firm located in Miramar, FL, serving clients throughout the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area. The firm focuses on a wide range of immigration matters, including deportation defense, family-based petitions, waivers, consular processing, and adjustment of status. It also handles complex cases such as asylum (affirmative and defensive), cancellation of removal, humanitarian paroles, parole-in-place, and special travel permits. The practice offers support for employment authorizations and various visas, including L, O, U, T, fiancé(e) visas, as well as TPS, DACA, and VAWA cases. Team members work closely with clients to provide personalized, detail-oriented legal services in a dynamic environment.

Role Description The Immigration Paralegal will support attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and management in a full-time, on-site role located in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area. Daily responsibilities include gathering and organizing client information, preparing and reviewing immigration forms and supporting documents, and maintaining accurate case files and timelines. The paralegal will communicate with clients, schedule appointments, and provide updates on case status while ensuring sensitive information is handled confidentially.
