Job summary

Jewish Family Service of San Diego is seeking a Community Educator for Immigration Legal Services. You will expand community outreach, educate immigrants, and connect families with legal resources across San Diego County and surrounding areas.

This role involves coordinating clinics, leading Know Your Rights trainings, and building strong partnerships with schools and nonprofits. Under supervision, you may pursue DOJ accreditation, contribute to referral networks, and support community education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or bachelor's degree in social work, legal studies, ethnic studies, public policy, education, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate outreach strategies for immigrant communities.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver Know Your Rights presentations and community education sessions.
• Coordinate immigration legal services walk-in clinics at schools and community sites; manage scheduling and referrals.
• Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, and partners to expand access to immigration education and services.
• Represent the Immigration Legal Services team at community meetings and outreach events.
• Assist with outreach, coordination of volunteers, interpreters, and data reporting.
