Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required.
2+ years of legal assistant experience preferred.
Immigration experience preferred.
Foreign language fluency preferred.
Part-time capacity will be considered for the right candidate.
Strong writing and communication skills are required.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel is a must.
Other office software knowledge is helpful but not required.
Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and have strong analytic and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize cases and manage caseload.

Responsibilities

Assist with immigration cases assigned by attorney.
Prepare, file, and monitor immigration and nationality applications and petitions.
Understand procedures and documentation required for filings.
Work with clients to gather information and documentation promptly.
Prepare forms based on information from clients and employer.
Prepare letters and other documents for the employer/client.
Monitor status of filed applications and petitions.
Track attorney calendar and client-related information.
