Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Illinois International is seeking an Office Support Specialist for the International Student and Scholar Services. Hybrid role with front desk duties, student and scholar support, and coordination of immigration documents.

The position requires strong knowledge of immigration rules, excellent communication, and proficiency with Sunapsis, Banner, and MS Office. Join a diverse team supporting 15,000+ international students and scholars.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years (24 months) of related office/clerical experience.
• Experience with Sunapsis or similar immigration systems is a plus.
• Preferred: two years' experience in an international office.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide front desk support and info.
• Route inquiries and schedule appointments within deadlines.
• Create and review office forms (e.g., work letters, payroll letters).
• Process mail and prepare packets for departments and scholars.
• Provide iSTART access instructions to students and scholars.
