Qualified candidates possess a J.D. or LL.M. and have federal legal experience, with grade-level progression from GS-13 to GS-15 based on experience. Telework options may be available under USCIS policies.

Formación

• Must possess a J.D. or LL.M. degree from an ABA-accredited law school or serve a legal apprenticeship and pass the bar.
• Ability to provide accurate legal advice to attorneys and non-attorneys on complex matters.
• Strong writing and analytical abilities essential for federal attorney work.

Responsabilidades

• Advises on employment authorization documents, E-Verify, and Form I-9, under applicable laws.
• Advises on SAVE and verification-related laws and REAL ID Act.
• Provides legal support in areas such as federal records, electronic systems, biometric collection, privacy, and information sharing.
