Job summary

Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a Clinical Supervising Attorney at the Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic (LIJC) in Los Angeles. The position is full-time, fixed-term for one year, benefits-eligible, and requires on-site work at Loyola Law School and LIJC offices.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active California Bar membership.
• Minimum five years immigration law experience, including business-immigration.
• Experience with humanitarian immigration applications such as H-1B, O-1, PERM.
• Ability to teach, mentor, supervise students in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication, professional judgment, and organizational skills.
• Spanish fluency or proficiency in another non-English language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the Path2Paper Project with intake focused on employment-based options for DACA recipients.
• Collaborate with the Cornell Immigration Clinic on joint efforts.
• Develop a pro bono network for referrals and placements.
• Design and launch a Business Immigration Practicum for training law students.
• Supervise student teams, provide feedback and mentorship on casework and advocacy.
• Manage ongoing immigration matters before USCIS and other agencies.
• Engage in community-based legal education and outreach.
• Co-teach clinic seminars and orientation sessions on business-immigration law.
• Support LIJC program administration, grants, and communications.
• Maintain current expertise in business immigration and emerging policy.
