Job summary

Sanabria & Associates, PLLC seeks an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our Florida office as a Junior Partner. You will handle a substantial immigration caseload, mentor attorneys, and contribute to leadership and growth of the practice.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in immigration law, strong leadership and client-service skills, and fluency in Spanish. This role reports to the Partner Board and supports firm-wide standards and strategic growth.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree from an accredited school.
• Active US Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of immigration law experience.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of immigration matters, including humanitarian relief, removal defense, family-based petitions, asylum, SIJS, U Visas, VAWA petitions, waivers, adjustment of status, and consular processing.
• Develop and direct legal strategies for complex immigration matters from intake to final resolution.
• Conduct consultations, evaluate relief options, assess case viability and risk, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Manage a high-volume caseload with oversight of strategy, workflow, and deadlines.
• Represent clients before Immigration Courts, USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and other agencies, including hearings and interviews.
• Review, prepare, and approve applications, petitions, and motions for accuracy and sufficiency.
• Conduct and oversee legal research on evolving immigration issues and developments.
• Lead, mentor, and develop attorneys to maintain high standards of work and client service.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex matters.
