Job description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Law / Immigration Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and immigration law, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, adoption, naturalization, and deportation defense. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills, capable of advocating effectively for clients in sensitive and complex legal matters.

Responsibilities:
  1. Represent clients in family law and immigration matters, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated in court and other legal proceedings.
  2. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to develop case strategies and provide sound legal counsel.
  3. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, petitions, and briefs, with precision and clarity.
  4. Advise clients on family law matters such as divorce, child custody, adoption, alimony, and immigration matters such as visa applications, asylum, green cards, and deportation defense.
  5. Negotiate settlements, agreements, and case resolutions on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  6. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide empathetic, sound legal advice throughout the legal process.
  7. Stay updated on relevant family law and immigration regulations and trends that may impact ongoing cases or client interests.
  8. Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is organized, accessible, and up to date.
Requirements:
  1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  2. Current member of the State Bar (California preferred)
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law and/or immigration law
  4. Superior oral and written communication skills
  5. Excellent research skills and attention to detail
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with clients from diverse backgrounds
  7. Experience with family law and/or immigration case management software is a plus

This is a full-time, at-will position. We offer a competitive compensation package, with salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary will be reviewed by Darren Michael Richie.

  • Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
  • Schedule: 8-hour shift, Flexible hours (Choose your own schedule)
  • Work Location: Remote, with options for hybrid remote in Beverly Hills, CA 90210, and Los Angeles, CA 90017
