Job summary

House Worker Center in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an immigration attorney to join our legal team. The attorney will work with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to provide professional, compassionate representation and comprehensive case management for immigrant families and individuals.

Responsibilities include representing clients before USCIS and EOIR, managing cases, and collaborating on strategies for affirmative and defensive immigration matters.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.
Experience representing clients before USCIS and EOIR.
Strong legal research, writing, communication, and case management skills.

Responsibilities

Represent clients before USCIS and EOIR, including appearances in Immigration Court.
Evaluate cases and develop legal strategies in affirmative and defensive immigration matters.
Prepare, review, sign, and file applications, petitions, motions, and supporting documentation.
Handle asylum, removal defense, T and U visas, VAWA, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, waivers, and naturalization.
