Job description

ZMK Law, PLLC is a boutique law firm based in New York, representing clients across the United States. We are looking for an Immigration Attorney who is confident, fast-moving, intellectually curious, and genuinely passionate about immigration law.

This is not an entry-level position. The right attorney will have approximately 2-3 years of substantive U.S. immigration law experience. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of cases, think strategically, handle pressure, and walk into an Immigration Court hearing prepared and confident.

This is a full-time, fully remote position. That said, the role requires in-person appearances at Immigration Court and USCIS interviews as assigned, primarily throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area. Candidates must therefore be able and willing to travel for appearances when needed. Occasional attendance at our Melville, New York (Long Island) office may be needed.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage family-based, SIJS, asylum, and humanitarian cases
  • Communicate with clients on a daily basis
  • Draft filings and legal documents
  • Attend USCIS interviews and court hearings when needed
  • Collaborate with our team in a supportive, organized environment
  • Provide weekly case status update report to the management
  • Prepare, print, assemble, and coordinate submission of paper-filed application and court packages as needed.
Who you are:
  • A licensed attorney with at least 2-3 years of U.S. Immigration Law experience
  • A strong organizer, writer and researcher
  • Comfortable in a modern law-firm setting
  • Someone who values quality work and great personality
  • Remote schedule (with in-office attendance at our Melville, Long Island office only as needed)
  • Real opportunities for professional growth
  • Healthy and happy team culture

ZMK Law is a boutique immigration firm where attorneys are closely involved in the substance and strategy of their assigned cases. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with the firm management and play a meaningful role in each matter. If you want a position where you can simply process files and wait for someone to tell you the next step, this position isn't for you. If you want litigate, strategize, advocate, lead, learn, take ownership, handle pressure, and make an impact, this position is for you.

Compensation:

Salary will be determined based on skills & experience.

If you are an immigration attorney who enjoys litigation, takes pride in excellent work, and wants to become an even stronger advocate - not simply process cases, we would love to hear from you.
