Job summary

Community Law Group in Tennessee seeks a Senior Immigration Attorney with 5–7 years of experience to lead removal defense and court litigation. This onsite, full-time role involves regularly appearing before Immigration Court and handling a broad range of humanitarian immigration matters.

You will draft motions, manage cases end-to-end, and mentor junior staff while delivering compassionate advocacy to immigrant families. Travel to hearings may be required.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–7 years of experience practicing immigration law.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Removal Defense and Immigration Court litigation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and motion practice skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, advocacy, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and attend court hearings.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients before Immigration Court (EOIR) and USCIS.
• Handle Master Calendar and Individual Hearings.
• Prepare and litigate a wide range of immigration matters, including asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, waivers, VAWA, U Visas, SIJS, and other humanitarian relief.
• Draft motions, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents, while conducting legal research and developing case strategies.
• Manage cases from initial consultation through final resolution.
• Attend court hearings.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

Required
