Job summary

Our client is launching a humanitarian immigration law practice in Houston and seeks a Lead Immigration Attorney to establish and grow the office.

You will lead as the primary legal representative, handling complex humanitarian immigration matters and building strong ties within Houston’s immigrant community, with full operational and marketing support from the firm.

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
  • Experience with Removal Defense (EOIR) and/or humanitarian immigration law preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to lead a growing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in Removal Defense (EOIR) proceedings.
  • Handle humanitarian immigration matters including VAWA, T-Visas, Asylum, and related relief options.
  • Develop legal strategies and guide clients through the immigration process.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and Houston immigrant community.
  • Serve as lead attorney and public face of the practice.
  • Partner with legal support staff to ensure exceptional client service and efficient case management.
  • Help establish and grow the firm’s reputation in Houston.

Location: Houston, TX – Fully Onsite

Compensation: $96,000–$105,000 annually

Practice Areas: Removal Defense (EOIR) | Humanitarian Immigration Law

About The Opportunity

Our client is launching a new humanitarian immigration law practice in Houston and is seeking a Lead Immigration Attorney to establish and grow the office.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced immigration attorney who wants to take ownership of a practice while receiving strong operational, marketing, and administrative support. You\'ll serve as the firm\'s primary legal representative, helping individuals and families navigate complex humanitarian immigration matters while building a trusted presence within the local immigrant community.

What You\'ll Do
  • Represent clients in Removal Defense (EOIR) proceedings
  • Handle humanitarian immigration matters, including VAWA, T-Visas, Asylum, and related relief options

What You\'ll Bring
