We're looking for an admitted attorney for an extremely promising Associate Immigration Attorney position within a premier law firm with significant room for growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience and further their career with an established firm in the Bakersfield area. As the Associate Attorney, you will report to the Sr. Associate Attorney, manage your caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with our Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.

Responsibilities

• Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage workload of cases
• Visit and conduct intake with detained individuals at centers
• Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
• Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary adjustments
• Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law changes
• Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine necessary strategies
• Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
• Provide legal analysis to determine case benefits
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Qualifications

• 1 to 4 years of Immigration Law Experience
• Team player willing to help, strategize, and collaborate with colleagues
• Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish)
• High-level interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to move legal cases forward and manage a caseload
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications
• Experience with Case Management Software is a plus

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 USD
