Job summary

The Senior Director of the Immigrant Justice Legal Clinic at TRP Immigrant Justice provides leadership, mentorship, and oversight of legal services delivered by a 35–40 person team at our Chicago office.

Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, the role leads program development, staff training, budgeting, advocacy, and external relations to advance immigrant justice.

A JD and bar admission with 10+ years in immigration law, plus strong leadership and bilingual English/Spanish, are required.

Qualifications

• JD required and active bar admission.
• 10+ years in immigration legal services or related management.
• Experience leading large teams of lawyers or staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 35–40 legal staff to deliver high-quality immigration services.
• Develop program strategy and oversee implementation with compliance and quality controls.
• Coach and supervise Managing Attorneys, staff, volunteers, and interns; foster teamwork.
• Ensure ethical standards and accurate client interactions and records across the clinic.
• Lead external relationships, advocacy efforts, and collaboration with partners.
