Job summary

Huitt-Zollars, Inc. is seeking a Show Set Designer II with 2–4 years of Creative Development experience to be based in Orlando, FL or Los Angeles, CA.

The role involves developing immersive environmental designs, translating concepts into buildable layouts, and coordinating with architectural and engineering teams to deliver story-driven environments for themed entertainment and experiential projects. The position is on-site with potential co-location at the client’s office; a bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Degree in design/architecture or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of Creative Development experience.
• Ability to develop spatial design and environmental storytelling concepts.
• Portfolio showing visual storytelling and spatial composition.
• Proficiency in Rhino, Revit, Lumion, Adobe suite; Enscape/3DS Max/Maya a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop immersive environmental designs and scenic elements.
• Translate concepts into physical spatial layouts and scenic design solutions.
• Design queue environments, ride scenes, and feature elements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and technical teams.
• Produce plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
• Support fabrication, shop drawings, mock-ups, and field coordination.
• Communicate design ideas through drawings and models.
