Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas seeks an Experiential Artistic Director to lead high-concept ideation and overarching artistic direction across all event productions. You will set aesthetic standards, translate narratives into immersive environments, and oversee Capex to expand creative assets.

You will mentor a high-performing design team and collaborate with Technical Directors to ensure designs translate to production while staying ahead of industry trends and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Theatrical Production, Scenic Design, Fine Arts, Experiential/Environmental Design, or a closely related creative field.
• 7+ years of prior relevant experience in high-end event production, creative direction, or experiential design.
• 3+ years of prior relevant experience in a leadership or management role.
• A master-level portfolio demonstrating exceptional high-concept design, environmental styling, and immersive event storytelling.
• Demonstrated experience with Capex budgets, asset acquisition, and evaluating the business case for creative capital investments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the visual storytelling direction, design language, and premium aesthetic standards for all event productions.
• Drive initial conceptualization stages of projects, translating client objectives into immersive environmental designs.
• Evaluate long-term capital purchases, including advanced event technology and premier structural inventory, for ROI.
• Direct and inspire the Creative Producer team with design-focused coaching and critique.
• Develop and present creative visions, renderings, and tools to leadership and premier clients.
• Collaborate with Technical Directors and Fabricators to translate designs for production.
• Monitor and pioneer emerging global design trends and experiential technologies.
• Oversee design execution from concept to physical installation to preserve artistic integrity.
