Job summary

Poseidon Digital's WORLDS® team is seeking an On-Site Event Representative for a part-time role at the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium in Centerport, NY. You will help create a smooth guest experience at immersive projection shows, handle check-ins, signage, and merchandise, and support the venue staff during events.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in customer service or events, excellent communication, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service or event experience (hospitality, retail, or similar roles preferred).
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the venue.
• Consistent availability for scheduled dates

Responsibilities

• Event Setup & Breakdown: Set up and take down signage, check-in tables, merchandise displays, and charge devices.
• Guest Experience: Greet and check in guests, answer questions, and ensure a seamless audience experience.
• Merchandise Management: Facilitate sales, track inventory as needed, report issues, request additional assets and merch as necessary.
• Event Oversight: Monitor the event flow and quickly resolve any on-site issues.
• Communication & Reporting: Maintain timely communication with the Venue Operations team and venue staff, relay concerns, and provide feedback for improvement.
