Job summary

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is seeking an AV MES Technician to lead daily operation of the AV Modular Exhibit System. You will collaborate with project teams and external partners (SAND) to develop and deploy new shows, troubleshoot and configure MES components, and update technical documentation.

You will train staff on MES controls, work with displays, projectors, lighting and audio systems, and support maintenance and tickets for exhibits and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, engineering, AV Systems, design or a related field preferred.
• Four or more years of AV industry experience, technology services, or operations in a museum or large-scale venue preferred.
• CTS Certification through InfoComm or similar training.
• Ability to work under deadlines and collaboratively in a diverse environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
• Knowledge of computer, network, industrial and electrical technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

• Acts as AV team lead and oversees daily operation of the MES.
• Collaborates with project teams and external partner SAND to develop and implement new shows; services, troubleshoots, installs, and configures MES shows.
• Supports MES operations colleagues with AV tech issues and updates MES documentation.
• Trains colleagues on MES operations and basic controls.
