Job summary

Highland Creek Elementary in Charlotte, NC seeks a licensed elementary school teacher for the K-6/EOY position (1st Grade) with a 10-month calendar. Starting immediately, the teacher will implement the district curriculum, adhere to policies, and contribute to PLC activities while maintaining accurate records and fostering a positive classroom

Qualifications

• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligibility for NC Teaching certification in assigned area.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of assigned students.
• Prepare for classes assigned, and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Diagnose learning challenges and maintain accurate records for IEPs/504 Plans.
• Meet with parents/guardians and collaborate with staff to support student progress.
