KIPP Chicago seeks an experienced individual for the position of Office Manager (OM). The OM will be the face of the school and deliver first-class customer service to all constituents in the building, including students, parents, staff, and guests. The OM’s primary responsibilities are to operate a welcoming and efficient main office, to coordinate student enrollment and attendance, and to provide daily support to teachers and the school’s leadership team. This is a full-time, in-person position (50 hours a week). The OM will report to the School Operations Leader/Director of Operations. Regular and dependable on-site attendance is essential to fulfilling the responsibilities of this role.
At least two years of college, BA preferred
A minimum of two years administrative experience (experience in a school setting preferred)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
(For Bilingual OM Role) Oral and written fluency in Spanish, as well as English
Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
Strong typing and technology skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and Google Drive
Evidence of strong interpersonal skills
Evidence of personal initiative and follow through
Frequently standing or walking and using stairs to move throughout school building; ability to lift / carry up to 20 lbs when necessary to support school procurement.
Demonstrated passion for and commitment to the KIPP mission
A cleared CPS Background check before start of employment and within employment term (required)
