Job summary

The Staff Pad is hiring an IMCU RN for a high-acuity unit at a regional hospital in Wausau, WI. This full-time position offers 12-hour day and night shifts and a strong orientation, training, and onboarding program.

Ideal candidates are current Wisconsin-licensed RNs (or eligible via compact license) with BLS certification and experience in med-surg, telemetry, or critical care. New grads are welcome to apply, with support to develop critical-care skills.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility through a compact license.
• BLS certification.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills.
• New graduate RNs are welcome to apply.
• Experienced RNs with med-surg, telemetry, step-down, progressive care, IMCU, ICU, critical care, or similar experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to IMCU patients requiring closer monitoring and advanced care.
• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and care team.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols.
• Develop advanced assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process.
