The Staff Pad is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity IMCU position in Wausau, WI. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring closer monitoring and advanced clinical care beyond traditional med-surg settings.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in Wisconsin (or compact), with BLS certification and strong teamwork and communication skills. This full-time role offers day and night 12-hour shifts and opportunities to grow critical-care expertise.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility through a compact license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinical assessment ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Monitor patients closely and recognize changes in condition.
• Assess, prioritize, and respond to evolving patient needs.
• Care for patients with complex medical, neurological, trauma, and post-surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and other care-team members.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Develop advanced assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
