Job summary

CJW Medical Center in Richmond, VA is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse RN for Intermediate Care (PCU). The role coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care with physicians, supporting pre- and post-operative nursing needs.

You will work on the critical care step-down unit serving adult and geriatric patients with telemetry or bedside monitoring, focusing on teamwork and growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with active RN license.
• BSN preferred; hospital experience preferred in acute care.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with providers.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care on the PCU unit.
• Monitor vitals, telemetry, and patient conditions; document appropriately.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate discharge planning with care team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize patient experience.
