Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Lake Forest, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the IMCU In House Registry Days. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced unit with rotating shifts.

Requires BSN, current Illinois RN license, BLS, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC) within one year are preferred. ADN with commitment to BSN within three years may be considered.

Qualifications

• BSN required and IL RN license current.
• BLS certification required.
• ADN accepted with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
• ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire for ER/PED areas.
• Experience and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, analyze outcomes, and develop an individualized care plan.
• Direct care and supervise any nursing helpers involved in patient care.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and staff to communicate and coordinate care.
• Participate in governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Document responses to nursing interventions and update care plans accordingly.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices to guide nursing decisions.
