Job summary

UMC Health System's Medical Surgical Intermediate Care Unit seeks a dedicated RN for full-time night shifts (7P-7A) in Lubbock, TX. The IMCU emphasizes Primary Care Nursing with 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratios and high-quality, patient-centered care for diverse populations.

Qualifications include a nursing degree, Texas RN license or compact license, and current BLS/ACLS. BSN preferred; PCCN is an asset. Orientation provided and opportunities for education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Texas RN License/Compact License.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• PCCN certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for adolescent to geriatric patients in IMCU.
• Monitor vital signs hourly and perform neuro checks and complex wound care as needed.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
