Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the Med/Surg ICU - D3N on the night shift. You will collect patient data, perform personal care, monitor vital signs, and assist with mobilization, with focus on discharge readiness.

You will document care, coordinate with the nursing team, and help maintain a clean, safe environment. Benefits include health/dental/vision coverage and pension options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• 6 months related experience in health care setting or completion of CNA course/paramedic/EMT is desired.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient data including vital signs and intake/output.
• Provides personal care (bathing, grooming, feeding) and assists with mobility.
• Documents care in the patient record and reports to RN.
• Supports infection control and safe patient handling.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and assists with daily activities.
