The role operates in a high-acuity IMC setting, balancing advanced clinical care with teaching and mentorship of fourth-year veterinary students and residents. You will coordinate complex hospitalizations, implement treatment plans, and communicate across specialty services and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in feline/canine veterinary settings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication under pressure.
• Proficiency with medical software and diagnostic tools.
• AVMA-accredited program graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Clinical Intervention: perform high-level technical procedures including venous access, TPN and chemotherapy, transfusions, and wound management.
• Case Coordination: admit patients, synthesize updates, and relay plan of care to clinicians and students.
• Clinical Mentorship: supervise and coach 4th-year students, interns, and residents.
• Patient Advocacy: monitor post-operative care and administer medications.
• Departmental Operations: maintain infection control, handle internal billing, and ensure unit readiness.
