Job summary
Atlantic Animal Hospital & Pet Care Resort in Wilmington, North Carolina, is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited team. You will provide comprehensive patient care, monitor anesthesia, and perform lab work as part of a collaborative medical team.
You will also mentor colleagues, educate pet owners about treatments, and contribute to maintaining our high hospital standards in a busy, supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- Calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care as part of the medical team.
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
- Perform lab work and other diagnostic tests.
- Lead and mentor the medical team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Educate clients about treatments and review medical records.
