Job summary

UMC Health System seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform a range of diagnostic procedures under supervision, with priority on OR and ER cases. You will coordinate with nursing and physicians to ensure accurate patient data and exam justification, and you will set up rooms and equipment for fluoroscopy and surgical imaging.

The role requires ARRT registration within 12 months, a Texas MRT license, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• +2 years of general radiologic practice experience.
• Current Texas MRT license and ARRT registration within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Functions independently in OR and ER rooms; perform routine or trauma radiologic tests and use imaging skills to treat patients.
• Gather and exchange patient information with nursing and physicians ensuring proper identification and reason for exam is documented.
• Set up and use all diagnostic equipment in each room after proper in-servicing.
• Prepare Exam and OR rooms for fluoroscopic and OR surgical exams, including equipment, trays, contrast, supplies.
• Operate and maintain radiologic imaging equipment; report issues with malfunctions.
