Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is seeking an Imaging Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures and portable exams with a focus on patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting in Anchorage.

As part of our imaging team, you will work across radiology and C-arm procedures, ensuring high-quality images and compassionate patient interactions, while maintaining up-to-date techniques and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ARRT-R Radiography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Vocational School Graduate required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patients with proper procedures and produce high-quality images for physician diagnosis.
  • Perform imaging procedures in radiology as well as portable exams and C-arm procedures.
  • Schedule, plan, implement and complete service requests while maintaining a friendly, compassionate environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development appropriate to patient groups.
  • Stay up to date with current techniques and procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Imaging Technologist, you will performprofessional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. In this role:
  • You will be responsible for providing to the patient, the proper procedure with excellent quality images to assist the physician in the diagnosis of the patient’s condition or health complaint.
  • You will perform a variety of imaging procedures in the radiology department as well as portable exams and c-arm procedures throughout the hospital.
  • You will be responsible to schedule, plan, implement and complete the request for service and provide a friendly and compassionate environment in keeping with the “care like family” mission of the hospital.
  • You will possess knowledge of growth and development; and have an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups.
  • You will be responsible to stay up to date of current techniques and procedures.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Vocational School Graduate
