Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our nights team. You will perform ultrasound examinations, follow exam protocols, and support physicians with diagnostic information.

The ideal candidate has RDMS/ARRT certification and BLS, with ability to work under pressure and teach student technologists. Alaska Regional Hospital is part of HCA Healthcare and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
  • (RDMS) or (ARRT-R) certification or vocational/certificate completion within 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures and follow exam protocols for diagnostic information.
  • Maintain knowledge of life-saving techniques and perform under pressure.
  • Lead designated examinations and introduce ultrasound basics to student technologists.
  • Assess and provide care appropriate to all ages of patients.
  • Demonstrate ability to obtain and interpret information for patient needs.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of our friendly and compassionate Ultrasound team. We are proud to provide the “care likefamily” mission of the hospital. We are looking for someone to join our team that works hard to support each other where the patients are the center of all we do.

In this role:

  • You will perform a variety of Ultrasound Procedures and be responsible for exam protocols that provide diagnostic information to the interpreting physician.
  • You will have a working knowledge of the life‑saving techniques and be capable of performing well under pressure.
  • You will assume the responsibility for specified examinations and will be responsible for introducing the basics of ultrasound to the student technologists.
  • You will be responsible for assessment and treatment of care appropriate to all ages of patients served.
  • You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of the patients’ needs.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (ARRT‑R) Radiography, or Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
