Job summary

Reston Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Imaging Technologist for its Free Standing Emergency Department in Reston, VA. You will perform portable and fixed radiographic, fluoroscopic and CT procedures, upholding radiation safety and patient care standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiology program, ARRT registration in Radiography and CT, BLS certification, and 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
• BLS Certified.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience performing radiographic/fluoroscopic and CT procedures as a registered AART Technologist.
• Registered with ARRT in Radiography and CT.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic, fluoroscopic and CT procedures in accordance with department policy and regulatory requirements.
• Controls patient flow efficiently within the section.
• Covers other staff positions in relief situations as needed within competency parameters.
• Works efficiently to perform exams within allocated timeframes.
• Uses radiation shielding and other safety measures for patient protection.
• Communicates procedure details to patients and answers questions.
