Job summary

Valley Health's Imaging Associate per diem in Winchester, VA provides patient care and clerical services for the Medical Imaging department. The role includes retrieving, manipulating, and distributing images from PACS, and handling processing, importing and CD burning for patient care needs.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, basic medical terminology knowledge, and prior health care exposure. Certification and flexibility across shifts are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with computer keyboard knowledge preferred
• Medical Terminology preferred or completed on the job
• Previous hospital and/or health care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and clerical services for the Medical Imaging department.
• Assists to retrieve, manipulate and distribute images from the PACS for all customers.
• Provides processing, importing and CD burning for patient care needs.
• May work as a tech assistant in different modalities as needed.
• Observes patient holding areas to ensure safety and needs are met
