The role includes patient education, verifying orders, preparing contrast, and coordinating with radiology staff to ensure accurate documentation and efficient patient flow.

Candidates must hold NM licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, ARRT registration, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in NM
• ARRT-registered Radiographer
• BLS certification required or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures and produce quality images for radiologist interpretation.
• Verify patient identification, obtain history, explain procedures, educate patients, and address concerns before exams.
• Ensure proper completion of exams including documentation, charging, and labeling of images.
• Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment; perform preventive maintenance and arrange repairs as needed.
• Prepare and administer contrast per protocols and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Assist radiologists/physicians with procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Coordinate with radiology and other departments on protocol changes and patient flow.
