Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and create diagnostically useful cross-sectional images. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast when needed, and ensure image quality for physicians.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, BLS/ACLS certification, Texas MRT license, and ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT) certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; and ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT) certification or equivalent in Computed Tomography, or related ARRT/R/N/NMTCB options with documented training.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans on patients, prepares patients for CT scan, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, and ensures scan quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on CT equipment.
• May assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions.
