Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Technical Coordinator Imaging to lead daily operations in the radiology section, ensuring staff develop and apply clinical protocols, while coordinating equipment performance and quality standards.

The role collaborates with the Radiology Manager and Medical Director, overseeing staff training, safety, and regulatory compliance to maintain exemplary patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of Radiologic Technology.
• Graduate of an accredited education program in radiography or magnetic resonance.
• CPR - BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
• Certification and registration by ARRT or ARMRIT in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Designs and coordinates orientation programs for technical and assistant personnel.
• Trains technical staff in applying clinical protocols and techniques.
• Develops training programs for evolving radiology techniques.
• Provides in-service education to develop staff technically, educationally, and professionally.
• Monitors equipment service and preventive maintenance schedules with physicists where needed.
• Keeps radiologists informed to ensure quality of service.
