Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is seeking an Imaging Tech Assistant for part-time shifts (8-hour days, evenings, and every 3rd weekend). The role supports imaging staff by transporting patients, assisting with exams, and handling routine office tasks within the Imaging Department.

The position requires completion of a Nursing Aide program with MN Registry preferred, BLS, and solid communication skills. A stable attendance record and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Graduate of a Nursing Aide program; MN Registry certification preferred.
• BLS Certification or ability to obtain within two months of hire.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Basic computer skills (Word).
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Follow Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, mission and values.

Responsabilités

• Escort, transport and transfer patients to support imaging workflow.
• Explain exam processes and communicate delays to patients.
• Document patient history, information, and encounters in the EMR.
• Stock and maintain department supplies and equipment.
• Answer calls and manage department requests.
• Assist with patient transport for outpatients, inpatients, and emergencies.
• Assist in patient transfers from beds, carts, wheelchairs, and other devices.
• Aid in ambulation, dressing, and toileting as needed.
• Position patients for imaging and ensure comfort and safety.
