Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Radiology Technical Assistant to support diagnostic imaging services. This PRN role involves transporting patients to CT, ultrasound, MRI and X-ray and assisting with exam prep and check-in to Epic when staff are unavailable.

The position requires strong filing, phone etiquette and guest relations, plus current BLS certification. Lifting and physical capability are required in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Filing, telephone etiquette and guest relations competency required.
• Ability to perform patient transport safely and efficiently.
• BLS certification from ILCOR or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with smooth flow of diagnostic studies in all modalities.
• Safely transport patients to CT, Ultrasound, MRI and X-ray.
• Prepare patients for exams and check them into Epic when needed.
