Job summary

The Imaging Support Associate assists the Imaging department, preparing patients for exams and helping the technologist set up rooms for CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, and X‑Ray procedures.

The role requires enrolling in an approved Imaging modality program and holds CPR/BLS certification, with duties spanning patient screening, workflow coordination, and ensuring smooth exam readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in good standing or on a wait list for an Imaging Modality College or Certification Program (X-Ray, CT, MRI, etc.).
• Active CPR/BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients, visitor, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties and providing appropriate responses.
• Verifies patient identity and exam to be provided in accordance with current policies.
• Conduct screening interviews of patients to identify the area of interest and any contraindications.
• Reviewing prescriptions, patient history, and consent if needed.
