Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• BLS - Basic Life Support preferred
• 0-1 year hospital/Managed Care or Radiology experience preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology and radiology procedures beneficial
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Attention to detail crucial for accurate records and patient safety

Responsibilities

• Assist radiology technologists and radiologists with various tasks
• Greet and prepare patients for radiology procedures and explain imaging process
• Prepare and arrange radiology equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) for imaging
• Help position patients for imaging to obtain clear, accurate images
• Assist in image processing, labeling, organization, and transfer to PACS
• Transport patients to and from radiology, ensuring safety and comfort
• Track supplies in the radiology department (contrasts, gowns, etc.)
• Maintain accurate records for medical records and billing purposes
