Job summary

Meritus Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join Diagnostic Imaging Services, providing clinical prep and administrative support across MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, and Mammography workflows. You will prep patients, gather histories, verify orders, and assist technologists and radiologists to maintain smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate or Associate Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (e.g., NCCT, AAMA) is required.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification is required.
• Prior MA experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain histories, verify orders, and document vital signs for imaging prep.
• Prepare patients for imaging by reviewing instructions and safety screening.
• Assist technologists with patient positioning, room turnover, and workflow coordination.
• Perform injections (if permitted), specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
• Manage scheduling, follow-ups, and coordination of additional imaging or referrals.
• Complete administrative duties including phones, paperwork, and medical records.
