Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant. The role is full-time, day shift, 8:30am-5pm, and involves assisting patients while retrieving and inputting digital images into the EMS system.

You will handle software tasks and collaborate with multiple departments, physicians, staff, and patients. Required qualifications include basic medical terminology training and at least 1 year of clerical or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year Clerical or Customer Service experience.
• Associate's Degree in the medical field or 1 year medical and/or clerical experience, or
• A successful completion of a Providence Internship.
• Coursework/Training: College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy or knowledge obtained through work experience.
• Diagnostic Imaging experience.
• Electronic Medical Records System experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist and direct patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into EMS.
• Interact with departments, office staff, physicians and patients.
• Provide extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service support as part of the Diagnostic Imaging team.
