Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Imaging Assistant for the evening shift (3pm–10:30pm) in Portland, Oregon. The role supports patient flow, retrieves and organizes digital images, and inputs exam information into the EMS/EMR system with strong clerical and customer service skills.

The position emphasizes teamwork with physicians and staff, providing patient-focused support and ensuring accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology course completed within 6 months of hire.
• At least 1 year of clerical or customer service experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist and direct patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images into the EMS/EMR system.
• Input digital images and exam information into EMS/EMR accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with departments, office staff, physicians and patients to ensure smooth imaging workflow.
• Maintain organization of imaging data and support diagnostic imaging operations.

Part-Time/Evening Shift - Monday - Friday from 3pm-10:30pm

The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS). The Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist is responsible for all applicable software, and interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients. The position requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of Clerical or Customer Service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree In the medical field or 1 year of medical and/or clerical experience, or
  • A successful completion of a Providence Internship.
• Coursework/Training: College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy or knowledge obtained through work experience.
• Diagnostic Imaging experience.
• Electronic Medical Records System experience.
