Job summary

Froedtert South, Inc. is seeking an Imaging Assistant to help patients reach imaging services efficiently, while making them feel welcome, comfortable, and supported.

You will work closely with technologists, nurses, physicians, and other team members to prepare patients and imaging areas for examinations. Key duties include transporting patients, preparing rooms, assisting with positioning, maintaining clean, stocked areas, and supporting patient flow throughout the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred/required according to position requirements.
• Previous healthcare, customer service, or patient-care experience.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) preferred
• Enrolled in a school of Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology program and in good academic standing.
• Ability to safely assist with patient movement and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Transport and assist patients to and from imaging examinations.
• Help prepare patients and examination rooms for procedures.
• Assist technologists with patient positioning and workflow as directed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked imaging areas.
• Transport equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assist with patient transfers while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service.
• Help coordinate patient flow throughout the department.
• Deliver and retrieve patient records, supplies, and other materials as needed.
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and members of the healthcare team.
