Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a radiology support/volunteer-like staff member to assist patients and ensure smooth exam flow. You will help prepare patients, transport between rooms, and support technologists during imaging procedures.

The role requires basic computer skills and strong communication. BLS is required; high school diploma or GED is needed. This on-site position offers full-time hours and a structured workday.

Qualifications

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required upon hire.
  • No experience required for the role.
  • Competent in IV insertion and venipuncture.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills including email and office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assists patient in preparation for exam and provides basic instructions.
  • Transports patients between exam rooms and escorts them as needed.
  • Uses radiology systems to generate requisitions and check schedules.
  • Organizes exam rooms, stocks supplies, and maintains equipment.
  • Greets patients and answers routine information requests and schedules.
  • Acts as liaison between physicians, radiologists, and technologists.
