Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a patient-focused tech assistant in the Medical Imaging department. This role supports patient care and clerical tasks while handling imaging workflows. You will monitor holding areas to ensure safety and assist with image distribution using PACS.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, familiarity with medical terminology, and readiness to work varied shifts. Applicants should have prior hospital or healthcare experience, BLS, and AHA certifications before

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Medical Terminology preferred or learned on the job.
• Experience in hospital/healthcare settings preferred.
• BLS Certification required; AHA certification prior to orientation.
• Ability to interact with patients across age groups and with physicians and staff.
• Proficiency with Windows-based PC environments; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and clerical services for the Medical Imaging department.
• Monitors patient holding areas for safety and needs.
• Retrieves, manipulates and distributes images from PACS for customers.
• Performs processing, importing and CD burning for patient care needs.
• Works as a tech assistant in different modalities as needed.
